Ms. Alisha Kimbro

After graduating from Lisle Senior High School, Alisha Kimbro attended Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio) on a Division 1 volleyball scholarship. Upon earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Alisha began her teaching career at The Orme School; a college preparatory high school located in Mayer, Arizona. There she taught Chemistry, Algebra, and Pre-Calculus for three years before relocating to Memphis, Tennessee. Once in Memphis, Alisha worked at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal School for four years teaching Earth Science, Life Science, Ethics, and Algebra. In the summer of 2017 Alisha moved back to Illinois and joined the St. Joseph community that fall. The 2018-19 school year begins her second at St. Joseph, and ninth year teaching altogether. In addition to Physics, Alisha will be teaching Earth Science and Algebra 1. 
In her spare time Alisha enjoys exercising, cooking, walking her dog Bentley, and traveling with her fiancé Angelo. Alisha is also a student of Lewis University, located in Romeoville, IL, working towards her Master's Degree in Education (Math & Science).
Outside of the classroom, you can find Alisha monitoring first semester detention and working with Mrs. Tricia McGleam and the students of Student Council. Her classes are taught in room 409, which can be found on the South end of campus closest to the Business Offices.
