  • SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
    St. Joseph High School is looking to hire reliable, mature and skilled substitute teachers. A bachelor’s degree is required. To be considered for the position an interview with the administrative team will be conducted. Candidates will be required to participate in extensive background checks, child protection training, and fingerprinting. An ability to work with high school students from different backgrounds and with different abilities will need to be demonstrated.     CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE
    Primary Duties required for this position:

    Report to Facility Manager who is responsible for the direction of cleaning/maintenance for the facilities.
    Clean and sanitize restrooms using established practices and procedure.
    Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill dispensers.
    Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, events, as decided.
    Use and maintain vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
    Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required for work assignments.
    Lock and unlock assigned doors: secure building when facilities are not in use, checking for unlocked or propped doors, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
    Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
    Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
    Wash accessible interior windows. Clean blinds. Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
    Attend to emergencies when necessary.
    Support and enforce all policies and OSHA rules.
    Perform other related duties as required.

    Technical Skills:
    The custodian is responsible for assigned areas of the school and must complete assigned tasks while working alone.
    The custodian must also be responsible for reporting on a timely basis any problems of a maintenance or safety nature, such as basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and landscaping skills.

    Physical Qualification:
    The custodian must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
    The custodian must have the physical capabilities to perform these functions over a sustained period of time: walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting, sweeping, and standing.
    The custodian must have normal tolerance of and not be allergic to common cleaning chemicals.

    Positions open are for full and part-time employment working 40 and 20 hours per week.
